Byte-sized innovation – advances in AI, CAD and 3D Printing
About this date
PRESENTATION OVERVIEW: Byte-sized innovation – advances in AI, CAD and 3D Printing Digital workflows are interrupting the traditional status quo of how we perform clinical dentistry chairside. While AI appears to be the buzzword of the season, one has to wonder whether it is truly making a difference in the way we provide dental treatment. Similarly, advances in 3D printing hardware and software have gained increased attention in recent times, particularly with respect to the growing phenomenon of 3D printed definitive restorations. However, does the hype truly result in improved patient outcomes? During this presentation, we will explore how recent changes to dental hardware and software have revolutionised the way we can carry out dentistry. By the end of the presentation, attendees should be enlightened to see what is happening at the cutting edge of digital dentistry and how it is making the patient experience better than ever. What will be covered: - How does AI feed into CAD-CAM dentistry - How has 3D printing in dentistry changed in the past few years - Some examples of AI in CAD-CAM dentistry - Chairside workflow of 3D printed restorative work - Live demonstration of Asiga PrintPod system
