VOCO V-Print C&B Temp

VOCO is known as being a reliable and consistent materials manufacturer and its lineup of dental 3D printing resins is no different.

V-Print C&B Temp is my go-to for smile try-ins or provisional restorations due to its ease of use, easy washability and validation across a range of popular 3D printing brands.

Printing of provisional (temporary) restorations and denture teeth

Where can you print it:

Multiple open system 3D printer brands support VOCO resins – Ackuretta, Asiga, RapidShape, Shining 3D, etc.

The low down:

V-Print C&B Temp is easy to print due to its low viscosity. Because of its lower ceramic filler content, it is safe to wash prints in IPA in wash units without causing excessive chaulking of the superficial surface. I generally print it on an Asiga Max 2 but I would assume it prints just as well on an Ackuretta SOL SE. As with similar resins, I do recommend printing with a set up that has some degree of heating involved. It’s super easy to polish with any standard composite/PMMA polishing system and comes in a range of shades. It’s also naturally quite translucent so minimal characterisation is required to make these look decent.

Points to note:

In recent times, the formula for many VOCO resins have been changed to remove certain photoinitiators that will soon be disallowed in Europe. Just make sure your print settings are up-to-date and you are printing with the right version of the resin. Being able to wash it in traditional wash units is a nice property to have as anyone who has experienced washing printed restorations by hand know how much of an annoyance it is to do so. Like with similar resins, take care when printing this at thicknesses less than 0.2mm as they can be fragile! For smile try-ins/mock ups, I usually leave the supports and only remove them once characterisation and full cure is complete. C&B Temp is slightly radioopaque and it comes in shades A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1 and Bleach.

TLDR:

V-Print C&B Temp is a nice and easy-to-use temporary restorative resin that washes easily and polishes up nicely. No dramas.
